| The first and last
day you stay in our village Umnäs and sleep in
a nice
lodge. On our mountain tours we will be sleeping
in warm and cozy
lodges / cottages, some of which will have electricity
and showers. All mountain lodges are comfortable, nice
and warm with beds and wood stove. All the lodges have
an outside lavatory. On tour we sleep in group rooms,
2-8 in each room.
The meals are home made swedish food. You can expect
all meals to taste exceptionally good. We can guarantee
you will not be hungry on our tours.
Breakfast and dinner are prepared in lodges whilst lunch
normally are held outdoors, and the fact that we are
using dogsleds means that we can take a little extra
with us to make our trip even more comfortable. We will
collect water from nearby fresh mountain streams by
chopping or drilling a hole in the ice.
- Breakfast
On tour: Porridge, blueberry soup, bread, butter, jams,
cheeses, sausages, muesli, juices, milk, coffee and tee
Additional in village: herring, assorted cereals, ham, eggs, and
others upon request.
- Lunch
On tour: All lunches are warm such as souvas
(smoked fried reindeer meat) with bread, soups with
bread, assorted pasta and sauces, sausages
Additional in village: omelets, game stews, hamburgers, etc.
- Dinner
On Tour: Meat soup with bread, game stew with rice and vegetables,
marinated elgmeat with rice and vegetables, pasta with vegetables
and sauces, pasta with grind meat and sauces, chicken stew with
rice, and other local game specialties.
Additional in village: Game steaks, fish such as trout, char,
salmon, etc.
- Drinks:
On Tour: Fruit syrups, tea & coffee, juices, red and white
wine, fresh mountain water.
Additional in village: The hotel has a pub, and servers all kind
of beverages in the restaurant.
