Guides note
On your days up here together with us and our dogs
you will learn how to handle and train Alaska Huskies
together with our guides. You will be a part of 50
happy and social Huskies and a litter of puppies born
in the summer. We use a four-wheel motorbike for training,
or if we have early winter we take the sleds. After
the training of the dogs and lunch we go out on different
activities as fishing, hiking, riding and visit a
reindeer farm. Here you learn about the reindeers
and the culture of the Sami people. You will also
hear a traditional jojk (Sami song) from our Sami
guide. If we have snow and you enjoy skiing we can
go cross country skiing or go up to Tärnaby ski
resort for downhill skiing.
In the evening you can join on our daily walk with
the puppies and join our evening chores with the dogs.
You have the wilderness and our beautiful nature just
outside the door and it’s always there for you
– day and night. Lapland is beautiful and inspiring!
In November the autumn is over and the winter is
arriving. The lakes are starting to freeze up and
the temperature is around + - 0 to - 15 C during the
day.
